9921/9922 ELECTIVE PE/RECREATIONAL GAMES 31-32
Two one semester courses/1 credit each semester
Prerequisite: B- average in P.E. II or permission from P.E. staff
Elective PE will be offered to 11th and 12th grade students after receiving the P.E. I & II state requirement. It is a one semester course, offered for both semesters, with credit. These courses are for the students who enjoy sports. The courses incorporate team and individual sport units. Grading is based on participation.
9986 ELECTIVE PE/AEROBICS 31
Semester, 1 credit
Prerequisite: B- average in P. E. II or Instructor permission
Aerobics will be offered to 10th, 11th and 12th grade students after receiving the P.E. I & II state requirement. It will be a one semester course with credit. The class will consist of aerobic & step aerobic, routines & other aerobic programs beginning with warm-up, twenty minutes of aerobic work to music with a cool down. The students will be shown the benefits of aerobic activity and how the cardio-vascular system functions. It will be an activity class stressing cardio-vascular and muscular endurance with flexibility. There will be some lecture days. There will be a fee charged for this class.
