5680 INTRODUCTION TO ENGINEERING DESIGN (IED)
Year, 2 credits
Prerequisite: Algebra I with a ‘C’
This first level course implements “Project Lead the Way” (www.pltw.org) pre-engineering concepts to students entering any of the fields of engineering and engineering technology. Students will use Autodesk Inventor computer modeling software to create three dimensional objects in computer space. This course will teach students to understand and apply the design process and apply adaptive design concepts in developing their three dimensional computer generated models. They will create and develop portfolios to display their designs.
