- Begin studying the Principles of design: balance, emphasis, proportion, repetition/rythm, unity (as well as alignment, proximity & grids)
- Discuss what is a brochure, flyer, invitation, ticket, etc. in preparation for assignments
October 3 - October 9
- Study the principles of balance & proportion (including "rule of thirds" and the "golden rectangle")
- We will do some basic photography, so if students have a digital camera to bring to class, that will be helpful
- High resolution vs. low resolution as well as uses for each
October 17 - October 23
- Begin Yearbook Unit.
- Continue with Typography.
October 24 - October 30
Additional page layout/design concepts for the Yearbook.
- Develop Yearbook Theme.
- Present graphic design logo ideas as well as develop a coordinating brochure. View ideas for Welding Tech, Cosmetology and Graphic Design.
