ourselves.
5. We will respect other’s property.
6. We will listen when the teacher or
another classmate is talking.
7. We will line up quietly in a
straight line.
8. We will use a quiet, inside voice
when talking.
9. We will complete all work and
homework on time.
10.
We
will have fun learning!
Consequences
I have a
stoplight behavior system in my classroom. Students each have a green, yellow,
red, and white card with their name on it. Each day they begin with a green
card. If they break their agreement throughout the day, the following
procedures may be followed:
1. Verbal Warning
2. Green Card Pulled – If students have
already received a verbal warning and they break another agreement, they have
to pull their green card.
3. Yellow Card Pulled – If students
have been given a verbal warning and have pulled a green card, then break
another agreement, they will pull their yellow card.
4. Red Card Pulled – Students may be
sent to the office and/or parents called, or a note home.
HOMEWORK
Students,
who do not turn in homework on time, will spend recess in a study hall to
complete their assignments. Scores on late assignments will be lowered one
letter grade. If this becomes a habitual problem, other consequences may be
given, such as being sent to the office to call a parent.
