This exercise is intended to get you to start thinking about establishing your own 'brand' identity and establishing a graphical representation of your own business. When businesses create their identity, they create business collateral, or an identifiable image with the public.
1. Think about every aspect of your personal business you'd like it to represent. Perhaps it is specific: wedding portraits or fishing magazine illustrations. Make a STATEMENT of what your business will specialize in. Then create a LIST of words (no fewer than three) that might describe your business such as classy, bold, reliable, etc. Submit as a Word doc, pdf, or InDesign document your statement and list. (10 points)
2. Design an original LOGO of some type representing your statement and list. You may use the internet as a resource, but make sure you submit your own work as a PDF file. Use typography, images, colors, etc. Don't make the graphic too busy--choose a simple idea and stick with it--Logos are easily recognizable, understandable images. Be creative & original in your designs--this may be something you use from now on. Of course, this image can evolve over time as well, but let's get a start now. (15 points)
