To help with reading fluency, we did Read the Wall with our sight words.
I put the sight words on 81/2 x 11 size card stock and taped them on the walls down the hallway. We then had races and timed students while they were reading the wall.
We kept track of students individual times and they competed against their own time instead of against other students. It was a lot of fun and my students do very well with their sight words.
We also put them on footprints and students had to say the word as they stepped on each one. This was fun too, but a little harder.
