If you have been having problems "writing" on top of their ELMO image - it is a known issue with the SMART Ink that is used in Notebook version 11.

This issue should be fixed in the next Notebook update and SMART says it should be available in a couple of weeks (roughly end of Oct/first of Nov).

So - until then - there are a couple of ways around it.

The easiest work around - with the fewest steps - is:
1. Open Notebook 11 and then minimize the software
2. Open your software for the document camera you are using  (like Image Mate (ELMO or  A+(Aver) AverVISION.)
3. Maximize Notebook, click on the screen icon (which will give you a drop down menu), click on Transparent Background  and you should be able to mark on the board over the document displayed..)

You can also follow instructions you have for inserting an image from your document camera
1.  Insert, Picture from scanner
2.  Make sure your document camera name shows in Picture Source  (Example:  SMART Document Camera Twain)
3.  Click Scan
4.  Your image is now in Notebook and you can write over it.
