5216   MANUFACTURING PROCESSES

Prerequisite: Manufacturing Systems

 

Manufacturing Processes is designed to provide an introduction to manufacturing material and processes. Its primary concern is to introduce the students to characteristics and properties of industrial materials and processing (conversion) of industrial materials into consumer and industrial goods. In this course the students will be primarily concerned with engineering and industrial materials, the primary processes of these materials and the secondary processes of industrial materials into products.  Students taking this course will have to pay for materials to produce an individual product that can be manufactured.
