CONGRATULATIONS to our RENAISSANCE STUDENTS OF THE WEEK:

Seniors, Allison Renner and Blake Rains. Each student will receive Jack’s Donuts, Mancino’s Pizza, a cool T-Shirt, a preferred parking space, mention at our super academic rally in March, plus an upcoming picture in the C-T.

SPORTS

New Castle Girl's Golf traveled to Valley View yesterday for a dual match with Shenandoah.

 New Castle DEFEATED Shenandoah 196 to 199

Brittney Brooks was medalist with a 41.  This was her 5th medalist award of the season.

Jena Vangundy - 53

Taylor Herr - 53

This was New Castle's lowest score of the season.

New Castle is now 4 and 2 in dual and tri-meets.

THE BOYS VARSITY TENNIS TEAM LOST TO HAGERSTOWN 5-0 EVEN THOUGH WE PLAYED REALLY WELL.  RECORD IS 3-4.  THE JUNIOR VARSITY LOST 2-1.  EVAN THURMAN AND ANDREW RUST WON AT #2 DOUBLES 8-4.  JV RECORD IS 3-3.

OTHER ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • The yearbook signing party is just one day away! At the party you can pick up your 2011 Rosennial before everyone else or you can buy a copy for $50. Stop by Wednesday from 5-7pm in the West Cafe and stay to sign your friends’ yearbooks, listen to music, and maybe even win a prize, including a digital camera!

·        CRADLES will be having a fundraiser garage sale on Saturday August 3rd (Labor Day Week-end) from 9am to 3 pm at Cradles 900 Riley Road.  If you would have items to donate please drop them off at Cradles...it would be much appreciated!!!

  • SADD members: please remember to turn in your "Contracts for Life" forms to Mr. Gray or Mr. Prater at your convenience.

  • Starting today, the Plato Lab will be open till 4:00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays, for any student enrolled in the Plato classes to take tests. Please see Mrs. Howard if you have any questions. 

SENIORS!

Any Senior girl who is planning a career in engineering might want to consider attending the Purdue University Exploring Engineering program on Monday, October 17.  Information is available on the Counseling bulletin board.
